Meet Miranda – Owner of The Bean Is Green

Hey! I’m Miranda, the face (and caffeine heartbeat) behind The Bean Is Green. Born in the 80’s ('86, to be exact), I like to think I’ve found that sweet spot between humor and hard work — because life (and coffee) should never be too serious.

My coffee journey started back in 2010 when some health concerns forced me to rethink my daily sugar-loaded lattes. My doctor told me to give up coffee or learn to drink it black. Give it up? Were they insane?! That’s when I discovered the world of black coffee — and realized not all black coffee is created equal. Most of what I found tasted bitter and burnt… and I knew there had to be something better.

Fast forward a few years to 2016, when a close friend asked me point-blank what I was truly passionate about. The answer came easily: good black coffee and community. Since then, I’ve been on a mission. I’ve educated myself, built connections, tasted endless brews, and auditioned over 30 roasters to finally bring you the smooth, rich, unforgettable coffee you’ll find here today.

And this is only the beginning! My future vision includes opening a mobile coffee shop — not just to serve coffee, but to create a space that supports growth, creativity, and connection in our community.

At The Bean Is Green, I aim to give you the best tasting black coffee out there — with zero judgment if you still need your cream and sugar. Like our motto says, “Roasted With a Story,” every bean — and every person — carries a story worth sharing. Coffee is just how we bring those stories together.

So grab a cup, join the journey, and let’s keep life grounded — in love, laughter, and really good coffee.
